Slug (abbreviations: ps2pf, or lb.s2/ft): is a unit of mass in the weight-based system of measures, especially within the British Imperial measurement system and in the United States customary measures system. Systems of measure either define mass and derive weights or define a base weight and derive a mass unit. It is the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is applied on it.
Kilopound (abbreviation: kips): is a unit of force, equivalent to 1000 pounds (lb) which is used in some systems of measurement including English Engineering units and the British Gravitational System. Also, it is a unit of mass used in the imperial, United States customary and other systems of measurement.
How to Convert Slugs to Kilopounds
Example: How many kilopounds are equivalent to 2.03 slugs?
As;
1 slugs = 0.0322 kilopounds
2.03 slugs = Y kilopounds
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 2.03 times 0.0322 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 2.03 * 0.0322 / 1 = 0.065366 kilopounds
Answer is: 0.065366 kilopounds are equivalent to 2.03 slugs.
