Slug (abbreviations: ps2pf, or lb.s2/ft): is a unit of mass in the weight-based system of measures, especially within the British Imperial measurement system and in the United States customary measures system. Systems of measure either define mass and derive weights or define a base weight and derive a mass unit. It is the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is applied on it.
Kilogram (abbreviations: kg, or kgm): is a SI (metric) system unit of mass (IPK, also known as "Le Grand K" or "Big K") and equivalent to 1/1000 of one gram. Where, at the temperature of melting ice, one gram is the absolute weight of a volume equal to the hundredth part of a metre cube of pure water.
How to Convert Slugs to Kilograms
Example: How many kilograms are equivalent to 96.76 slugs?
As;
1 slugs = 14.59 kilograms
96.76 slugs = Y kilograms
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 96.76 times 14.59 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 96.76 * 14.59 / 1 = 1411.7284 kilograms
Answer is: 1411.7284 kilograms are equivalent to 96.76 slugs.
