Slug (abbreviations: ps2pf, or lb.s2/ft): is a unit of mass in the weight-based system of measures, especially within the British Imperial measurement system and in the United States customary measures system. Systems of measure either define mass and derive weights or define a base weight and derive a mass unit. It is the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is applied on it.
Gram (abbreviation: gm): is a SI (metric) system unit of mass. Where, at the temperature of melting ice, it is the absolute weight of a volume equal to the hundredth part of a metre cube of pure water.
How to Convert Slugs to Grams
Example: How many grams are equivalent to 34.72 slugs?
As;
1 slugs = 0.0001459 grams
34.72 slugs = Y grams
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 34.72 times 0.0001459 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 34.72 * 0.0001459 / 1 = 0.005065648 grams
Answer is: 0.005065648 grams are equivalent to 34.72 slugs.
