It is equivalent to 907.2 kilograms (Kg), or approximately 2000 pounds (lb), or 0.9072 metric tons, or 0.892913 long tons (imperial).
Atomic Mass Unit (abbreviations: amu, or u): also known as dalton (symbol: Da), is a standard unit of mass that used on an atomic or molecular scale (atomic mass). One unified atomic mass unit is about the mass of one nucleon (either a single proton or neutron) and equivalent to 1 g/mol.
How to Convert Short Tons to Atomic Mass Units
Example: How many atomic mass units are equivalent to 25.33 Short tons?
As;
1 Short tons = 5.4648794905711E+29 atomic mass units
25.33 Short tons = Y atomic mass units
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 25.33 times 5.4648794905711E+29 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 25.33 * 5.4648794905711E+29 / 1 = 1.3842539749617E+31 atomic mass units
Answer is: 1.3842539749617E+31 atomic mass units are equivalent to 25.33 Short tons.
