As;

1 pounds = 0.001 kilopounds

24.71 pounds = Y kilopounds

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 24.71 times 0.001 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 24.71 * 0.001 / 1 = 0.02471 kilopounds

Answer is: 0.02471 kilopounds are equivalent to 24.71 pounds.
