Gram (abbreviation: gm): is a SI (metric) system unit of mass. Where, at the temperature of melting ice, it is the absolute weight of a volume equal to the hundredth part of a metre cube of pure water.
Slug (abbreviations: ps2pf, or lb.s2/ft): is a unit of mass in the weight-based system of measures, especially within the British Imperial measurement system and in the United States customary measures system. Systems of measure either define mass and derive weights or define a base weight and derive a mass unit. It is the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is applied on it.
How to Convert Grams to Slugs
Example: How many slugs are equivalent to 13.07 grams?
As;
1 grams = 6.852E-5 slugs
13.07 grams = Y slugs
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 13.07 times 6.852E-5 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 13.07 * 6.852E-5 / 1 = 0.0008955564 slugs
Answer is: 0.0008955564 slugs are equivalent to 13.07 grams.
