**Definitions:**

**Gram** (abbreviation: **gm**): is a SI (metric) system unit of mass. Where, at the temperature of melting ice, it is the absolute weight of a volume equal to the hundredth part of a metre cube of pure water.

**Slug** (abbreviations: **ps2pf, or lb.s2/ft**): is a unit of mass in the weight-based system of measures, especially within the British Imperial measurement system and in the United States customary measures system. Systems of measure either define mass and derive weights or define a base weight and derive a mass unit. It is the mass that is accelerated by 1 ft/s2 when a force of one pound (lbf) is applied on it.

## How to Convert Grams to Slugs

*Example: How many slugs are equivalent to 90.43 grams?*

As;

1 grams = 6.852E-5 slugs

90.43 grams = Y slugs

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 90.43 times 6.852E-5 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 90.43 * 6.852E-5 / 1 = 0.0061962636 slugs

Answer is: 0.0061962636 slugs are equivalent to 90.43 grams.
