Atomic Mass Unit (abbreviations: amu, or u): also known as dalton (symbol: Da), is a standard unit of mass that used on an atomic or molecular scale (atomic mass). One unified atomic mass unit is about the mass of one nucleon (either a single proton or neutron) and equivalent to 1 g/mol.
Long Ton (abbreviations: Lton, or ton imperial): is a non-SI metric unit of mass. Although, it is used principally as a unit of mass, it has acquired a number of meanings and uses over long years. It is equivalent to 1,016 kilograms (Kg), or approximately 2,239.859 pounds (lb), or 1.119929 short tons (US), or 1.016 metric tons.
How to Convert Atomic Mass Units to Long Tons
Example: How many Long tons are equivalent to 59.56 atomic mass units?
As;
1 atomic mass units = 1.6338097609562E-30 Long tons
59.56 atomic mass units = Y Long tons
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 59.56 times 1.6338097609562E-30 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 59.56 * 1.6338097609562E-30 / 1 = 9.730970936255E-29 Long tons
Answer is: 9.730970936255E-29 Long tons are equivalent to 59.56 atomic mass units.
