Pound Per Square Inch (abbreviations: psi, or lb/in2): is a unit of pressure or of stress based on avoirdupois units. It is the pressure resulting from a force of one pound-force applied to an area of one square inch.
Tonne Per Meter Cube (abbreviations: t/m2, or tpm2): is the SI derived unit of pressure used to quantify internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength interms of tonne per meter cube.
How to Convert Pounds Per Square Inches to Tonnes Per Meters Cube
Example: How many tonnes per meters cube are equivalent to 0.14 pounds per square inches?
As;
1 pounds per square inches = 0.689476 tonnes per meters cube
0.14 pounds per square inches = Y tonnes per meters cube
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 0.14 times 0.689476 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 0.14 * 0.689476 / 1 = 0.09652664 tonnes per meters cube
Answer is: 0.09652664 tonnes per meters cube are equivalent to 0.14 pounds per square inches.
