Kilopascal (abbreviations: kPa, or kN/m2): is the SI derived unit of pressure used to quantify internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength. It is one kilonewton per square meter. It is named after the French polymath Blaise Pascal.
Megapascal (abbreviations: Mpa, or MN/m2, or N/mm2): is the SI derived unit of pressure used to quantify internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength. It is one meganewton per square meter or one newton per square millimeter. It is named after the French polymath Blaise Pascal.
How to Convert Kilopascals to Megapascals
Example: How many megapascals are equivalent to 13.34 kilopascals?
As;
1 kilopascals = 0.001 megapascals
13.34 kilopascals = Y megapascals
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 13.34 times 0.001 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 13.34 * 0.001 / 1 = 0.01334 megapascals
Answer is: 0.01334 megapascals are equivalent to 13.34 kilopascals.
