**Pound Per Square Inch** (abbreviations: **psi, or lb/in2**): is a unit of pressure or of stress based on avoirdupois units. It is the pressure resulting from a force of one pound-force applied to an area of one square inch.

## How to Convert Bars to Pounds Per Square Inches

*Example: How many pounds per square inches are equivalent to 75.4 Bars?*

As;

1 Bars = 14.50326 pounds per square inches

75.4 Bars = Y pounds per square inches

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 75.4 times 14.50326 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 75.4 * 14.50326 / 1 = 1093.545804 pounds per square inches
