**Definitions:**

**Atmosphere** (abbreviation: **atm**): is a unit of standard pressure, equal to 101325 Pa, or 1.01325 bar.

**Kilopascal** (abbreviations: **kPa, or kN/m2**): is the SI derived unit of pressure used to quantify internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength. It is one kilonewton per square meter. It is named after the French polymath Blaise Pascal.

## How to Convert Atmospheres to Kilopascals

*Example: How many kilopascals are equivalent to 56.13 Atmospheres?*

As;

1 Atmospheres = 101.325 kilopascals

56.13 Atmospheres = Y kilopascals

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 56.13 times 101.325 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 56.13 * 101.325 / 1 = 5687.37225 kilopascals

Answer is: 5687.37225 kilopascals are equivalent to 56.13 Atmospheres.
