**Millimeter** (abbreviation: **mm**): is a unit of length in the SI metric system, equal to one thousandth of a metre. Therefore, there are thousand millimetres in a metre and ten millimetres in a centimetre.

## How to Convert Meters to Millimeters

*Example: How many millimeters are equivalent to 6.72 meters?*

As;

1 meters = 1000 millimeters

6.72 meters = Y millimeters

Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;

Y equals 6.72 times 1000 over 1

(i.e.) Y = 6.72 * 1000 / 1 = 6720 millimeters

Answer is: 6720 millimeters are equivalent to 6.72 meters.
