Centimeter (abbreviation: cm): is a unit of length in the SI metric system, equal to one hundredth of a metre, centi being the prefix for a factor of 1/100. The centimetre was the base unit of length in the now deprecated centimetre–gram–second (CGS) system of units.
How to Convert Meters to Centimeters
Example: How many centimeters are equivalent to 96.53 meters?
As;
1 meters = 100 centimeters
96.53 meters = Y centimeters
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 96.53 times 100 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 96.53 * 100 / 1 = 9653 centimeters
Answer is: 9653 centimeters are equivalent to 96.53 meters.
