Millimeter Square (abbreviation: mm2): is the SI derived unit of area. It is the area of a square whose sides measure exactly one millimeter. The square millimeter is derived from the SI base unit of the metre, which itself is the length of the path travelled by light in absolute vacuum within time interval of 1/299,792,458 * 1/1000 of a second.

How to Convert Millimeters Square to Meters Square
Example: How many meters square are equivalent to 98.5 millimeters square?
As;
1 millimeters square = 1.0E-6 meters square
98.5 millimeters square = Y meters square
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 98.5 times 1.0E-6 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 98.5 * 1.0E-6 / 1 = 9.85E-5 meters square
Answer is: 9.85E-5 meters square are equivalent to 98.5 millimeters square.
