Yard Square (abbreviations: yd2, or sy): is an imperial unit of area, formerly used in most of the English-speaking world but now generally replaced by the square metre, however it is still in widespread use in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. It is the area of a square with sides of one yard (three feet, thirty-six inches, 0.9144 metres) in length.
How to Convert Centimeters Square to Yards Square
Example: How many yards square are equivalent to 71.4 centimeters square?
As;
1 centimeters square = 0.00012 yards square
71.4 centimeters square = Y yards square
Assuming Y is the answer, and by criss-cross principle;
Y equals 71.4 times 0.00012 over 1
(i.e.) Y = 71.4 * 0.00012 / 1 = 0.008568 yards square
